Under the empowerment of 5G, China's communication cable industry has achieved a structural leap, revitalizing through technological restructuring, deep cultivation of scenarios, and system integration as the core path. On the technical side, the industry is fully shifting towards 'light in, copper out' and multimedia integration. Changfei Fiber and Yongding Co., Ltd. have launched CFU bundle optical cables with over 1000 cores, achieving a single cable transmission capacity of over 10Tbps; Hengtong Optoelectronics and Zhongtian Technology have developed a 10 gigabit all-optical network base to replace traditional copper cable wiring, reducing costs by 80% and supporting the operation of AI factory data 'one network'. On the application side, China Tower innovates vertical/horizontal polarization leaky cables, with a 40% increase in cross polarization ratio, solving the problem of signal coverage in high bridge tunnel ratio scenarios such as high-speed railways and tunnels, and achieving stable speeds of over 300Mb/s; Optoelectronic hybrid cables and OPLC cables are widely used in smart street lights and 5G base station transmission, achieving integration of power supply and communication. On the system side, the industry has transformed from a single product supplier to a comprehensive service provider of 'fiber optic cable+intelligent deployment+operation and maintenance', relying on technologies such as F5G-A and integrated sensing to build a new type of information infrastructure for 'air space' collaboration. By 2025, there will be over 4.83 million 5G base stations nationwide, and the annual demand for communication cables will exceed 1.2 billion core kilometers, supporting the world's largest 5G network and over 100000 industry application cases. China is leading the evolution of global communication cable technology standards.
