The Chinese metal frame industry is deeply integrated with the energy storage industry, and is leaping from traditional load-bearing structures to functional integrated system carriers. In energy storage containers, high-strength steel (Q355B/Q460C) and aluminum alloy frames have become mainstream, balancing impact resistance, lightweight, and corrosion resistance to support safe operation over a 25 year lifecycle. The industry standard clearly requires the enclosure to be fire-resistant at 800 ℃/15min, with a temperature difference of ≤ 3 ℃ and protection of IP54 or above. It should also integrate an explosion vent, fire partition, and liquid cooling channel to achieve thermal runaway blocking and active heat dissipation. By 2025, China's demand for energy storage aluminum materials will reach 710000 tons, with aluminum profiles accounting for 44%, widely used in battery trays, liquid cooling plates, and box structures. Xiangxin Technology, Ningde Times, Sunshine Power and other enterprises are promoting the integrated design of 'structure thermal management safety'. The metal frame is no longer just an outer shell, but a system level platform that integrates electromagnetic shielding, modular installation and intelligent monitoring. With the popularization of large cell technology and the continuous optimization of unit structural component usage, the industry is moving from 'manufacturing components' to 'defining the underlying architecture of energy storage systems', building a new energy infrastructure with high safety, high density, and long lifespan.
